Welcome, everyone, to my latest Dread Lord report! We have been feudin' it up, so let's get down to brasstacks so y'all can get back to that.

Time to Play the Feud!

Y'all have five days left to participate in Week 1 events for The Myrkr Crusade, our feud against Odan-Urr! Remember, participating once in every bin is the way to do it, and doing your best in comps you think you can place in is the way to go!

After Week 1 wraps up, we will have a brief respite before Week 2 starts. There is also an event long gaming event, as well as an event long multiobjective fiction, the latter of which you have the option to collaborate with someone within Plagueis or within Odan-Urr.

Shake Up That DC!

If you haven't heard, there's a new Grand Master in town! Evant Taelyan received a unanimous vote approving hiis ascension to becoming our head honcho, so hey - Sith Lord represent!

We also have a new Deputy Grand Master: Our very own Bubba, who will be stepping down as Justicar to fill in as Evant's second-in-command! Be sure to send them both your congratulations if you haven't yet.

Meanwhile, Kalan Amak, aka Drac, was nominated for Justicar. Keep your eyes peeled for the results of the vote.

And in sadder news, one of the di Plagia, Selika Roh aka Slags, decided it was time to step down as Herald. Much appreciation to him as he moves on to other things, which may include returning to Plagueis? His call!

So, yeah. Call the DC a Bond martini, 'cause it's been shaken!

Damask Academy

I thought that now would be as good a time as any to let y'all know of some conceptual stuff that your summit is working on: Namely, we talked a lot about how Plagueis would react to the Brotherhood at large and the Shadow Academy, given that, as Sith, we don't like enabling light siders. ** This brought us the idea of a dark side academy, introduced by Shimura before his untimely Rogueing, and Khryso and Aleister have been working to bring it to life.

We're pretty excited about putting together this new piece of lore in the Aliso system, but we would love your help if you're interested. While there's not a lot of concrete work to be done at this time (y'know, feudin' it up and all), Khryso and Aleister are down for some fresh ideas and helping hands. Meanwhile, we always love hearing new lore ideas and integrating them into Aliso. I'm a firm believer in expanding rather than simply tearing it down and starting over; we've got some good stuff!

So, yeah, Damask Academy. Where the real learning begins.

Real Talk

So I'm going to end this report a little differently than usual because I want to get real with y'all. Without giving away too many specifics, I do foresee an end to my tenure as Consul on the horizon. I have done a lot of work as a leader, in the present and past, and I want to see new faces take over in Plagueis and navigate it to greater things as I move on to other creative outlets and interests.

But I ain't done yet. So while I'm here, I want to give some of y'all some advice. I tried doing something like this at the end of every report when I was Proconsul, but it got stale pretty fast. So whether or not you're a leader, you want to be a leader, or you just want to be happier in the Brotherhood, here's some perspective and stuf that I've learned throughout almost fifteen years.

Everyone can grow as a person, but rebuilding trust takes far more time.

Sometimes, the only person willing to forgive you is yourself.

No one is obligated to like you, and you are not obligated to like everyone.

What is perceived as indecisiveness could be, in truth, one of the hardest decisions ever made.

Make moments teachable. Reflection is a great skill.

If it's toxic, cut it out of your life. You do not owe anyone involved an explanation in that regard.

Tone is nearly impossible to detect in text alone. Try not to assume people's moods from what they type.

If you can, do not have Telegram on your phone.

Seriously. If you can keep TG only to your desktop...do it.

DO IT.

Above all, be willing to learn, but never compromise your morals for someone else's personal comfort.

**EDIT: It has been clarified to me by the Headmistress herself that Odan-Urr has its own Praxeum and the Shadow Academy does not, in fact, train light siders. But hey, Plagueis is rebellious - I'd imagine it acts like the Shadow Academy indoctrinates people to like the Dark Council. Sooooooooo - Damask?
