Introduction & Goodbye
Members of Clan Vizsla-
Hi all,
As you are all aware by now, I’m taking a step back from leadership for a while. Most of you know what I do in the real world. My current assignment is an academic one and it is a lot more intensive than I expected it to be. It’s also the most important school I’ll ever attend, and so I need to put all of my focus there.
I want to thank Bubba for trusting me to step in after Sarin passed. Vizsla was incredibly important to Sarin and it means a great deal to me that Bubba trusted me with it.
To Atra and the rest of the DC - thank you for your patience with me as I muddled through my time as CON. You all are making huge changes with the Seasons structure, and it’s great to see how much you care. Thank you for your leadership.
Thanks to the CON Crew - I have appreciated our discussions and sharing of ideas. This club has a solid group of Consuls at the helms of the various clans. Each one cares not only about their clan, but the DB as a whole. Thank you for your friendship.
To my Vizsla Leadership team - I am sure I could have done more, but I wouldn’t have done anything if not for you. You made ideas become reality. The Bounty Board, the attempt at RPs to drive clan storylines, Val’s upcoming Vizsla Seasons. A particular shout out to my two PCONs, Mako and Raiju. Mako was there at the beginning to make sure I knew what was going on, and Raiju is now carrying the water bringing new ideas and actually writing fiction.
To Vizsla- thanks for giving me a chance. I am not, nor will I ever live up to the legend that was Sarin. I appreciate you all at least following behind me cautiously wondering what I was going to do. Thanks for sticking it out, and I look forward to seeing where we go from here.
I’m not going anywhere, and i’ll pop up for air every so often to get away from research and lectures on Clausewitz and Thucydides.

Fiction Update:
Zsoldos Shield of Zsoldos 43 ABY
She felt her right eye twitch, drawing attention to the dull pain that settled in deep behind her eye. Kora was too familiar with this state of exhaustion, where the body began to protest how long it had been awake. She had been promised that joining Vizsla would put an end to her running, but after three months she still felt constantly on the move.
At least now, she had a place to return to at the end of these missions.
For a brief moment, Kora held her gaze through the viewport and looked down upon the tranquil orb below. From here on the Golan station, called the Shield of Zsoldos, she was set in high orbit above the planet known as Clan Vizsla’s ancestral home. And now, her home.

Congrats again to Kora, Raiju, and Tater. As we announced in our warchat, the Top 3 credit earners for July earned the right to have our new campaign told through their perspective. We will continue this for August and Raiju will share in the chat who the next 3 will be. Watch for that on Sept 1st.
Clan Title Update
A lot of you are getting close to the Clan Title. Here are the 10 members closest to earning it! Thanks to Raiju for making a chart that actually worked.

As a reminder, the only way to get the title is by earning 2 million credits for the clan. There is no vote. It’s not a cool kids’ club (even though having the title is cool). It’s not a popularity contest. Earn credits, earn the title. That’s it. There are plenty of ways to do that, and you can find them here. One thing to remember: If you leave for another clan, your clan credits reset to zero!
If you think it’s too hard or too out of reach, just take a look at Zoron’s numbers…he’s earned the clan title three times over.
Current Operations
- Vizsla August Bounty Board is still running! We will run this every month with accessible competitions that anyone can do. If there are other competition types that you want to see, let us know in the comments or in Clan Chat!
PCON Corner - Chaos Chosen
Friends,
It’s been a busy month for the clan.
As many of you have seen in the warchat, we’ve been busy planning out social events, RP sessions, and our clan lore. I’m happy we’ve been able to continue on the story from the last great hunt and we’ve developed a campaign to lead us to the next one. As you will see in this month’s fiction update, we will keep releasing what lore Sarin & company had developed on the clan drive to make sure that contribution lives on.
This month we’ve included a scene involving the Blackspire Expanse and will soon launch a wiki article (when I remember how) sharing all the nerdy details of the shadowport and tower.
Social Nights
A reminder that the summit will be hosting some social nights coming up, many thanks to Azler for running polls and a coming survey to help get to know each of you better. So far we have the following planned:

you had a huge responsibility to deal with, with the sudden loss of Sarin/Pravis and I am sure he's looking down on us, happy that the right choice was made. those weren't just big shoes to fill, those were howitzers to fill. retire is the wrong word I think as no one really retires in the brotherhood. lol. thx for stepping up to help us avoid the storm from the loss of one man amongst men.
