The year marches onward and February is already here. Time seems to fly the quickest when you want it to slow down. Or maybe it’s all the feud planning that has been going on. ;P Exciting times are coming soon. This report will cover another update on our upcoming feud, a quick reminder to check out the House event before it wraps up, final Scimitar of Hoth results, ACC event reminder (SARLACC), community event updates, and our usual highlights (members, competitions, projects,etc..) Roll the cameras!

FEUD!

I want to say how incredibly excited I am for our upcoming feud with Plagueis. First off, it has been ~5 years since we fought them. Second, though it was a close we lost our last battle and it's time for a rematch. Third, the light and the dark will once again clash, which is like Star Wars nirvana. Fourth, we’ve had a whole lot of fun concocting story ideas for this event.

Aura, it won’t be like the last time we fought them will it?

No, the story is completely different. I really think all of you will really connect to it and enjoy it a great deal, which would make me a happy leader. At least that is what Revak and I are tirelessly working towards.

So when does it start?

The event should start later this month so enjoy the break while you can and while you do that, your PCON and I will be hard at work finalizing the rest of the event. If you haven’t yet, the Clan Updates has our most recent update for this upcoming event.

So gear up everyone and get ready to rumble with Plagueians. Let’s show them what we’ve got and remember to have your claws out!

Hello All,

Hope you’re all doing well. Just a couple of quick announcements.

For those of you in House Sunrider, Arch announced that you now have until Sunday to get submissions in for Scars You Don't See, Part 1: Coming in from the Cold. Submissions have kinda been lacking so giving the extra time will help my fellow Procrastinator Club members those extra few days to begin, work on and finish those comps. Not to brag but it took me about an hour or so to finish all but one of them. It’s doable.

Also, if you play Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO or would like to get back into it, the FIST staff are looking for ideas on creating a new DB Guild in the game. If you’d like more information, CLICK HERE or follow THIS LINK to go straight to the survey!

Also, also, the current CoJ terms are ending soon. That means that the Justicar is looking for a Right hand, a Left Hand and three Appeals Panelists. 2021 Scimitar of Lord Hoth results!

A fresh year has begun and the Scimitar of Lord Hoth is back up for grabs. We are redoing our spreadsheet to make some nice automated rankings for you all but for now It’s my pleasure to announce January’s winner. Remember, each month’s tallies are counted for an overall winner at the end of the year. So without further ado let’s get to the results!

SARLACC, an ACC event

While you wait out the time between the House event and the feud, there is a wonderful cooperative ACC event going on, hosted by the Shadow Academy and the Combat Master, called ‘The Shadow Academy Research Lab: ACC (SARLACC). Find a buddy or do an open invite and help do some pest control. We are not responsible for any messes of pets you decide to take home from this.

The second round begins February 12th and ends February 28th.

Future Leaders of Odan-Urr [ACTIVE]

Many years ago, I joined Odan-Urr and fell in love with it. Fictionally, I stepped out of the darkness and into a much brighter world full of heroes of all walks of life. I saw light-side characters unabashed to be who they wanted to be. I saw characters putting up the good fight for what they believed in, unafraid to stand up for what was good. Since then I’ve worked tirelessly to give back. I want to make the light of Odan-Urr shine as bright as the sun. I want to make sure that Odan-Urr gets stronger and even better than we are today. If you care a lot about Odan-Urr and want to help build its bright future, I am offering you the opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a clan leader. ^^

Every so often we have to look at our possessions and rework them to fit our current needs. Over the past month, we’ve been talking over different ideas for both our Clan and House fleets. If you have any input, message me and I’ll put them on the list. We are close to christening the new ships and we’ll be unveiling them soon. What’s better than keeping people off your back? Doing it right the first time! That’s why I’ll be working on a series of Survival Guides to help you accomplish both of those things. Currently i'm working on one for Trello and Gui and I are working on one for the Master/student program. If there is something you haven’t quite figured out how to do, that isn’t covered in an SA exam, reach out and we’ll see if we can share some of our tips and tricks to help you solve those mysteries.

Tassk Asks “For each of you, which upcoming Star Wars project are you most excited for?”

Aura: I would have to say the High Republic. I was already hyped for it before I got my hands on the books, given the positive reviews from everyone. But now that I’m a little over 100 pages into my current book, ‘Into the Darkness’, I literally forced myself to put it down to complete this report. It shows Jedi from all walks of life, opening opportunities to be something more than just someone waving a stick around. Don’t get me wrong, I love my heroes, but these Jedi are filling in a lot of lore and in the process making them more relatable. In short, the High Republic shows that Jedi are people too and can be just as flawed as everyone else. The difference is how they handle that adversity rather than throw in the towel the moment they mess up.

Revak: I look forward to the new shows coming out. The Mandalorian proved that they can get Star Wars right for the most part and if that translates to the other shows that spawn from it, we'll have some great stories filled with likable characters and a wealth of new lore.

Zappius also Asks “And on a more serious note, what has been your crowning achievement so far as Consul/PCon?”

Aura: As a duo in the CON/PCON configuration, it’s only been a few months so a lot of our stuff is still in progress, biggest thing is our ongoing feud planning, but if I had to come up with something since we paired up in November I would say consistently hitting self-imposed deadlines. It’s a boring answer but also a powerful one because self-accountability is really important. Sometimes there is just too much work to do and some deadlines slip no matter how hard you work, but it means a lot when you can trust each other to make sure that doesn’t happen. Also, I love Revak’s answer as well.

Revak: Aura hasn't killed me yet. Honestly though, I've done some things administratively that I'm proud of and we have a feud coming up but I can't really gauge anything yet. You would have to open that question up to the members. If, at the end of our term the membership had gotten everything out of Odan-Urr that brought them to this club to begin with and they like the stories, are engaged and still remain vested in who we are, then I would say we did our job and would be happy knowing that we served them well.

Thanks for reading the February Clan report. I am really excited for what we have in store for you later in this month. Large events like feuds are great ways to have lots of fun and are big opportunities for character development. With that in mind, make sure any characters you plan to use for the feud are all set up the way you want them. This includes everything. (character sheets, loadouts, etc..) Lastly, remember that our community events are still going on every weekend. We are always looking for new hosters and it counts extra for awards. Hanging out with each other is very important so be nice to each other and come join the party. Thank you and good night!
