Introductions

Greetings Imperialists and welcome to the April edition of the House Imperium report! There’s been a silence in the groups because we are anticipating and training for what is to come. The deadliest of duels is just around the corner, their cries of victory echo the battlefield and civilians of our cities whisper a terrifying name behind closed doors, they say Naga Sadow. Can we defeat them? That’s all up to you guys! But for now, let’s see what we’ve done this month.

Shadow Guard

Shadow Guard has been designed to be a protective unit for House Imperium Leadership, it is also used in battle as a Stealth Infiltration Unit. When the house is under attack Shadow Guard strikes quickly from the shadows and then just as fast retreats to them if there is sufficient force to take out. In times of war Shadow Guard was created to be used as deep infiltrators. They are tasked with sneaking over enemy lines to try and take out the enemy leadership.

Clan Scholae Palatinae

You read it here but I want to just say it again, incase it hasn’t sunk in yet. WE WON!

With over 1,330 points and a participation ratio of 2.44. That means for every one submission Excidium made, we did double. In the fiction, it’s clear to see this was a test of true loyalty to the Empire and we have shown through actions and ruthlessness, Imperium is ready for any threat. Whether internal or external, the powerful and merciless Imperialists are to be reckoned with.

As we found out, Cyris is doing avatars for Blade, Delak and myself. However I donated my avatar privilege to Reiden who came in 5th, so take it as a gift brother!

So congratulations to everyone who got a crescent and some goodies out of it, this only shows that through friendly rivalry and strong talent, we can work together and be friends through thick and thin. It is our duty to make sure the clan remains victorious, a place of fun and most importantly about the members.first and foremost.

Brotherhood News

The FIST released a report that adjusted the CF/CE balancing of SWTOR, Star Conflict and Galaxy of Heroes. Two of those I personally play, so i’m very happy the adjustments and installations of new things were made. You can read the report here!

The day of the Exodus came up and I want to give a big congratulations to Xen and Delak on their seals for the day. In case you don’t know, the day of the Exodus represents the time that seven people stood up for the rights of everyone in the club. They promoted fairness, equality and diversity for all members, and we wouldn’t have this club without people like them. Xen and Delak harbour fragments of this generosity, which is why they were awarded I feel honoured for the nominations too, so thank you Xen and Cyris for this tremendous gift. And finally, Wally is hosting the first Journeyman Tournament in over 5 years! Yes that’s right, any journeymen from Knight and under could participate in this tournament. So far, we have Alara and Blade representing CSP for the fight to the top. Go our golden girls, and show the world what you learnt from the masters of CSP! For the Empire!

Now usually, I would section activity up by Dark Council sectors, instead i’m going to section it personally member by member. So I’m going to use Blade as the first example and go from there. Imperialist Plans

As you well know Blade, Eli, Dek, Delak, Zagro and I are working to make sure this new House is built properly, strongly and also by your standards. This is a huge project with many aspects to cover from History, interaction with other houses and clans, the finer details of our own vendettas and wars, the description of our headquarters, it’s leadership and really anything else you could think of. This sounds like a wall of text, and in the beginning it most likely will. But with your help and in groups we can build this wiki into something that will catch the eye of others, and become a great example to read. So I am asking for your hand.

If you have some ideas that can be included into the House’s history, a niche that could be unique to our persona, or a piece of history you wish to write that can fictionally sum up how the foundations of House Imperium were placed, we would love to see these ideas in the flesh. You can email Blade, Delak and myself about these ideas and if you have an excerpt of what you would like to place in, this will be an excellent option as well. I’ve always held an open mind to reading other’s fictions as we all have our own structure and rituals, so it will be no different here. Some good examples to write are:

Sub-units of troopers and heavies.
Insignias or blurbs for strike teams.
A barracks with a mission statement and training scheme.
A spaceport or dock to get off the March Isles.
A solid description for House Imperium Base, if there’s any specialised rooms etc.
A main base for Shadow Guard and their training grounds.

Star War News!

J.J. Abrams sent fans into a frenzy on Friday night, April 15 when he spoke with Comedian Chris Rock during the Tribeca Film Festival. The Force Awakens Director was asked about Rey’s parents. His answer caught almost everyone by surprise.

While some questions regarding events in Star Wars: The Force Awakens are slowly coming to light, others won’t be revealed until Star Wars: Episode VIII or IX. The biggest of these, of course, is exactly who Rey’s parents are. The Director went on to explain:

“Rey’s parents are not in Episode VII,” he told the audience. “So I can’t possibly say in this moment who they are. But I will say it is something that Rey thinks about, too.” he said.

Obviously, Abrams’ comments caused an uproar and sent “Star Wars” fans into a frenzy, as many devoted fans suddenly became baffled as it goes against many popular fan theories on the subject. It even may have ruled out a number of characters that fans have been speculating about, including theories that Rey could be Luke Skywalker’s daughter or the daughter of General Leia Organa, which would make her related to Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren.

However, Entertainment Weekly caught up with the director to see whether or not he could clarify his statement.

The Director followed-up with what certainly alters the “not in Episode VII” comment considerably.

Abrams said:

“What I meant was that she doesn’t discover them in ‘Episode VII’. Not that they may not already be in her world,” the filmmaker told the site. It means, those fan theories about Rey being the daughter of Luke Skywalker or Leia are still valid.

Abrams reiterated that he knew who Rey’s parents are. However, he remained tight-lipped about it. “So I can’t possibly say in this moment who they are. But I will say it is something that Rey thinks about, too,” he told the crowd.

Fans may find out about Rey’s parents when she returns for “Star Wars Episode VIII”. The upcoming installment, which will be directed by Rian Johnson, is set for release in the U.S. on December 15, 2017.

Xen asks: what is the one thing you would like to accomplish in your position(s)?

Blade: Great question. As the Aedile of Imperium, I want to make my House the best it can be. This is something I relentlessly pursued in the House Feud and will continue to do so going forward.

Lexic: As a leader of a unit, it is my duty to seek out the future of this unit and clan, through giving young members the opportunity to have leading experience and test their waters for other ventures. Right now we have seen a boom in high potential of leadership and talent, and I want to profit from that as much as possible. I’m hoping when we get some free time, to sit down with this pool of young and aspiring members, and converse about what they want to do in this House and Clan. Feed them some projects to handle, give them the reins and allow some control and management in order to find what they are gifted in and what needs improving.

Delak asks: how would u feel about hosting a house v another DJB house some time in the future?

Blade: As long as it doesn't interfere with any future feud events, this could be a cool idea to help develop skills.

Lexic: I feel in time we could do it, but I’ve got so many plans coming out of my sleeve it’s just finding the time in our schedules to fit it in. I will try it one day, maybe hook up with a COU house and see if we can have ourselves a ‘Mad Max Thunderdome’ moment.

Skald’s Corner

Dark Greetings! The last thirty days have been a whirlwind of good news. First, Imperium won the House Feud due to our great participation. Second, it took me forever to tally everyone’s activity so good job everyone! We have done some great work this past thirty days, but now we must focus on the future. A clan feud is coming Mayish and I want to make sure that everyone in Imperium is ready for it. In order to sharpen our skills and prepare to pwn, their are several initiatives underway.

House Imperium created a slew of competitions designed to help everyone gear up. Take advantage of them to build up your skills! See competition listing from Lexiconus Qor for the details.
PCON Cyris Obscura has a slew of Fiction competitions planned to help everyone’s writing skills so stay tuned!
I have started a CSP JA Academy! I have dueled most of the JA players from other clans, and we need to practice if we are going to be competitive on this platform. I have volunteered my skills on the platform, and I am accepting all willing learners from CSP. We will cover the fundamentals and tailor it individually. By the time I am done training everyone, and with practice on your end you will be pwn in JA in no time :).

Can we get clusters?

Yes, if there is more than 2 people in the class, including instructors, we will hold an FFA at the end of class.

When does this take place?

You can set up a lesson anytime, but we target weekends for group classes and FFAs.

Some thoughts on the chart:

A good start and we have a few stars, but I think the House and Clan can do a much better job. Feel free to grab any of the teachers or myself to set up a lesson. The more we practice now, the better we will be prepared. Your teacher may or may not use your style, but I guarantee you they can teach you something new that you can apply. Also, feel free to reach out to your fellow students. They are great sparring partners! Just let me know that you set it up so I can keep track of it.

For teachers and students: Try to grab friends from CSP and pull them into the lesson. The more the merrier, and the more CFs up for grabs during the FFA session.

It is a pleasure and privilege to see the skills of others blossom in front of me. I look forward to seeing all of the clan’s JA players on the servers and helping everyone improve their skills. I can promise you that you will never look at the nose of an X-Wing the same way again. XD Along the way we will also create some great clan camaraderie. Kumbaya, spirit hands, roasted ewoks over a fire, Xenergies (Xen’s Energy Drink Line), you get the gist… Lastly, I want to thank Reiden Karr for my awesome new signature. That is it from me this month, I’ve been very quiet in activity these past few days mainly because I have been painting and decorating my uncle’s new house. New babies need bigger houses and such, so our family works as a team to help each other out. I will away on holiday starting the 29th of this month until the 2nd, so just a weekend holiday to the east coast of England. I will post some pictures for you guys to enjoy, might even ask for your help on the penny slots machines!

As always, we are a clan of unity and friendship, despite what IC Xen says in his Subterfuge fiction. So in celebration of this, I will leave you with a fight to the death of the battle-doges. Have a good spring!
