Rakatan Temple, Judecca

An air of tension and death consumed the local area, all the while the ruins of scribed stone and invading plants became inactive. The temple walls couldn’t hold their own weight and succumbed to the harshness of gravity; imploding and sinking towards the confinements deep below. A trailing mist slithered its way through the malnourished trees that crooked and collapsed onto the jungle floor, a constant reminder that war never changes. At this hour of midnight, the glow bugs frolicked around the rotting trunks in feast, while the ivy and vines broke their way through the ex-impenetrable walls of the old Infinite Empire. The only viable route towards the centre of the temple was an old river bed, crusted by the lack of nutrients from the mountain waters and struck with precise cuts from those same strong currents long gone. It arched across the land from the east and acted similar to a moat for the temple, only now the river was the old temple’s true weakness as erosion got the better of it. Looking at the western wall, the trio of Delak the Shadow Guard Commander, Kyo the greenhorn in this war and his master, Lexiconus the Skald of the March Isles saw their entrance into the temple itself.

Once inside, Delak took a look around and found the ancient walls of the temple were frail and extensively damaged. His keen eyesight picked up weakened walls and he shot them down himself in order to prevent an accident towards his company. Kyo was tapped on the shoulder by his commander and he looked at Delak in confusion. “Search the grounds for weak spots, kid. We need this place safe for the Aedile to do his business.” The Hunter nodded in response and extended his hands, probing and investigating his surroundings. Delving into the Dark Side, his mind told him about sensitive areas of the temple that once stood upon would fall. Using his abilities, Kyo locked onto a piece of rubble floor and pushed the fragmented piece deeper into the tombs below. Accidental in nature, the rubble nearest began to collapse itself and started to form a circle of raised flooring around Kyo. The Tyr and Skald both looked at the mess the Hunter made and shared a smirk. “He’s all yours sir.” Kyo’s heart sunk as he felt this wasn’t going to end well.

With a leap Lexic glided through the air and landed with a soft tip toe onto the circled out flooring, then unsheathed something peculiar from his belt. Wriggling into life and soaked with slime that cause Kyo to pull a face of disgust, the Aedile lifted the hybrid creature and machine to his face and ignited a mercury blade from it. “Today, you will learn the meaning of what it takes to win a battle and how to effectively chose how to wield your weapon. The Jedi gave us several forms to pick and research from, while we made our own further styles. I will show you each individual form and then you will decide which to chose to kill me with.” With a strong nod, Kyo understood his master and unclipped his lightsaber as he felt ready.

But he wasn’t. With a soaring speed, Lexic thrashed at the air towards Kyo in a series of simple yet deadly cuts and hacks, which the Hunter narrowly avoided. “Shii-Cho!” The Skald shouted out. Kyo defended himself the best he could with his basic training. This was going to be a long night.

Introductions

Good Evening House Imperium and welcome to the December edition of an Aedile report, hosted by your favourite Sith-Quarren! I have some vital information to cover, so please bear with me while I delve into my professional mind. I want this season to be fun for you guys, so i’ve decided to step back a little and let Delak have fun with his new friends. You can also see inputs from what the Dark Council is doing, as well as the results of our month-long campaign; Monstrosities! So let’s dive head in.

Shadow Guard

Shadow Guard has been designed to be a protective unit for House Imperium Leadership, it is also used in battle as a Stealth Infiltration Unit. When the house is under attack Shadow Guard strikes quickly from the shadow's and then just as fast retreats to them if there is sufficient force to take out. In times of war Shadow Guard was created to be used as deep infiltrators. They are tasked with sneaking over enemy lines to try and take out the enemy leadership.

Delak is the BTL for this team, as Chrome has stepped back and slightly to the left as Sergeant, if you wish to join this team, I will leave their emails below.

Shadow Guard Report!

Grey Wolf Alliance

The Cocytus System is in chaos over the outbreak of a disease that turns its citizens into undead monsters. The forces of Scholae Palatinae have been able to wipe out the enemy forces who tried to resurrect their “Old Gods”. They were unable to wipe out the forces before they were able to infect the populace of Judecca, the main planet in CSP’s system. The Capital City of Ohmen was hit the hardest by this outbreak. Shadow Guard was tasked with clearing out the undead beings throughout the Capital. All other forces were busy evacuating the remaining citizens of the city so that the disease would not spread any further and to allow the forces of Shadow Guard to take back the city. Knowing that Shadow Guard would have a tough time by themselves, the Emperor Xen’Mordin Vismorsus-Palpatine, had called in for aid. The only team close enough to assist them was Battle Team Greywolf from Tarentum. This team is led by a Gray Jedi named Caesar. His group was passing by Cocytus on their way home from training missions nearby.

House Imperium

There’s not much going on in terms of House efforts, we’ve had some members unfortunately leave us to the darkness of the Rogues. Also, i’d like to take a moment to speak with you about a very important member who is highly respected and with a rich history here. As Landon said in his very emotional report, he lost his close brother Jacob Van Nowak to an unfortunate accident. Without knowing Jacob personally, I still feel a grieving sense of absence from this House. Now with the holiday seasons coming up, Jacob will be on our minds again as Cruise will have one less at his table. All I can ask is if we can keep Landon in our prayers and wish him a good holiday, be there for him and respect them, then this holiday will turn out great.

Next year, we’re promised a bountiful selection of competitions for you to enjoy, so look out for those! Also, Dek has been running and writing a project of ours. Due to House Imperium being the notable training centre for all assets of Non-Force Sensitives and their counterparts, we’re in the process of creating official descriptions, names and positions of this training centre on the March Isles. Clan Scholae Palatinae

Monstrosities has finally concluded and the results have been outstanding, I am filled with glee to see Imperium names at the top of the list. As well as a bountiful amount of swaggilicious Clusters of Ice, Fire and Earth, the top four contestants were given the chance to choose a monster who ruined our system and name it after them. Now i’m sure Xen will want to keep this hush hush so I won’t mention my choice, but c’mon guys who do you think I chose?

Brotherhood News

The Dark Council has released a functional suite of competitions that salivate the mind and bring us something to just sit back, relax and enjoy. It is nothing too major, just writing 500 words in a runon, create a character sheet from scratch, argue a certain point in the Star Wars fiction in essay form, perform some fast-paced trivia, play the new DLC extension for Battlefront (if you can find people on your platform) and design some trophies. Low stress isn’t the words I would use for this, in my honest opinion.

The Battle of Jakku will now earn you 3 Clusters of Fire, should you decide to play it according to our FIST Praetor Ernordeth. The map is free to everyone now, you can find the update here!

The Herald released a report that depicted some kickass Warhammer painting, some help from Scarlet over in CNS, a Chibi teaser of the delicious armour we can expect from Possessions and as always a fruitful lyrical reminder of the songs that go through our treelady’s head. The Seneschal gave us a superb report of the nitty-gritty bits he has been coding for us over the past few weeks. Ernor gave us his first official gaming update that included some lovely artwork from Battlefront and the data he has received for competition place ments.

Our Wiki Tribune, Selikah is looking for staff to join his/her team of coding mechanics and monkeys, in a big project to update and fix the wiki database. You don’t need wiki experience, just an attitude to help and a project you fancy taking onboard. Applications close on the 18th. Wally and his companion, C-Dawg, released the results and the prompts for Round II of his Invitational Tournament! Unfortunately Arch and I couldn’t make it past the first round, but this was a learning lesson for both of us that we will try harder the next chance we get! Oh, and Jedi suck!

The Master At Arms has released a report that celebrates the success and hardship our Consul and Proconsul duo go through. They righteously earned crescents for their hard attempts at releasing a bag load of medals to us in mid-October and for writing Sparky’s ascension to Lieutenant. And finally, Yacks over in the Recruitment Tribune office has released a Personalised Link thingy! Yeah...if you guys can understand how it works, awesome. Tell me when you reach the cantina please?

Imperialist Plans

As you well know, Dante and I are working to make sure this new House is built properly, strongly and also by your standards. This is a huge project with many aspects to cover from History, interaction with other houses and clans, the finer details of our own vendettas and wars, the description of our headquarters, it’s leadership and really anything else you could think of. This sounds like a wall of text, and in the beginning it most likely will. But with your help and in groups we can build this wiki into something that will catch the eye of others, and become a great example to read. So I am asking for your hand.

If you have some ideas that can be included into the House’s history, a niche that could be unique to our persona, or a piece of history you wish to write that can fictionally sum up how the foundations of House Imperium were placed, we would love to see these ideas in the flesh. You can email Dante, myself and Delak about these ideas and if you have an excerpt of what you would like to place in, this will be an excellent option as well. I’ve always held an open mind to reading other’s fictions as we all have our own structure and rituals, so it will be no different here. Some good examples to write are:

• Sub-units of troopers and heavies.

• Insignias or blurbs for strike teams.

• A barracks with a mission statement and training scheme.

• A spaceport or dock to get off the isle of Dleacht.

• A solid description for House Imperium Base, if there’s any specialised rooms etc.

• A main base for Shadow Guard and their training grounds.

Star War News!

Watch it! Watch it again. And another time just so you’re sure of that date, because i’ll be seeing it the day BEFORE! :D

In less than a week our childhood dreams will finally come true has the movie we’ve been waiting 32 years to see the outcome of Luke Skywalker defeating the Galactic Empire, now it has arrived. Developed into the First Order by a secretive leader called Snoke, he leads an army of Stormtroopers, TIE PIlots, Imperial Officers, Kylo Ren from the Knights of Ren and all headed by Captain Phasma.

Against the Resistance that comprises of Han Solo with his wife Leia, who both find on Jakku Rey a scavenger, Finn a defected Stormtrooper and BB-8 an upgraded astromech from the R2 series. Together they try their best to stop the evil rising in the galaxy and generally learn the ways of the Force while doing so. I’ll be putting my review of the movie in my next report, but until then i’ll be ironing my Mos Eisley t-shirt and practicing my Wookiee roar.
