Aedile’s Office, Lion’s Tooth, Seng Karash, Aeotheran
I just finished unpacking the last of my boxes. It seems like just last week I was bumming around the galaxy in the back of a shipping transport, and now I’m here; in the Aedile’s office, hanging up my diplomas and adjusting the position of my favorite thinking chair. What an interesting path it’s been to get here. But, not much time to sit and savor, I have a pile of BTL applications to rummage through and letting them rot isn’t exactly an option.

New BTL of Devil’s Shroud Selected
I want to begin by thanking everyone who applied for the position of Devil’s Shroud Battle Team Leader on behalf of myself and Darkblade. We received a great number of applications and we are excited by the enthusiasm everyone has displayed for this position. Truly, Devil’s Shroud is one of the most active Battle Team’s in the DJB and consistently takes placement in Clan- and Club-wide competitions, demonstrating the prestige and pride of being in the Shroud. The decision on who would take the helm of DS wasn’t an easy one, nor one that we took lightly. The discussion lasted many hours and came down to literal splitting-of-hairs to make a decision as to who would become the BTL. Ultimately, it was agreed that due to her creativity, tenacity, and leadership potential to lead that Mystic Lilith Alema’rha Versea-Stormwind will be the next BTL of Devil’s Shroud. Congratulations, Lilith! Make us proud.
I want to reiterate that the other applicants for the position were extremely strong and this was by no means an easy decision to make. I want to continue to encourage each of you to keep doing what you are doing because the fact that you made this decision so hard to come to is why CNS is such a strong force to be reckoned with. It is far better to have to choose someone from among a pile of a great candidates, versus having to choose the “least bad” from a pile of not great candidates. So, thank you.
New Motto for Devil’s Shroud
Before moving up into the Aedile’s office, Bentre and I ran a small series of competitions to select a new motto for Devil’s Shroud. Here it is, folks: By Sadow We Are Bound, In Shadow We Serve
I am quite proud of that motto and think that it (A) represents the spirit of the BT, and (B) represents the pride of CNS. The motto is officially listed on the website.
Major News
DJB
An excellent report about Possessions system was put out by the Regent.
The first FIST report by Dracaryis was put out. Oh, and the second, too.
A bunch of us placed in the Undertaking competition. Results out here.
Marick put out another two Discipline focus articles on the Scoundrel and Ace, as well as his first report as Voice.
Ernordeth, the Praetor to the FIST, put out an interesting gaming gazette.
Atra selected Qyreia as a new ACC judge! Congrats Q!
Farrin’s getting old and already put out a 6 month report. Jeez.
The CoJ 1 and 2 Shadow Academy courses are going to be made historical soon, so take them while you can.
