[Arcona] I Don’t Know What Houdini Bought When He Went To The Store - March Report
“Brother, have you seen the wonderful news?” The eager and confident voice of Hironaga, second son of the Shogun, entered the room before he did. Shinnaga, third son of the Shogun, barely glanced up from his datapad at his twin brother’s intrusion. Whatever it was about, even if he hadn’t heard it, he was sure there was no stopping Hironaga from explaining it entirely and at length.
“The Arconans have asked for a representative from our government to attend a tour of one of their secure facilities! A secret, top-security prison complex on the blighted rock that is Sukhur! I didn’t even know there was anything on that planet! How incredible!” The stockier of the twins buzzed about the room as he spoke, never even pausing to look if his brother was paying attention. A fire gleamed in his eyes as he paced back and forth, his hands waving through the air with emphasis as the words exploded from him. “And best of all, father is busy with other matters, so has asked for me to attend in his place!”
This finally drew Shinnaga’s attention away from his reading. Instantaneously, a thousand thoughts rocketed through his head. Plans with plans, possible paths for the future. He gently set his datapad to the side before standing from his chair and grasping Hironaga by his shoulders.
“You must be careful if you go, dear brother. Sukhur is a dangerous place, and the Arconans a treacherous people. I would not see any harm come to you if it can be avoided.” Eye to eye, the brothers stood for a moment. A light shone in the intensity of Shinnaga’s stare which matched the spark of excitement in Hironaga’s, though the reason for it the ‘elder’ twin could never have imagined.
“I’m sure it will be fine, Shin. The Arconans wouldn’t invite such important dignitaries if they weren’t taking every precaution to ensure our safety!” Hironaga continued on, but Shinnaga heard not a word of it. He was already thinking through what strings he would need to pull and which agents he would need to activate to guarantee that his brother would never make it home from Sukhur.

Consul Corner
Hello one and all, and welcome to March I guess. We’ve got a fair amount to talk about this month, but I’m going to try to keep it brief just so we don’t overload folks.
First off, Season 1: Parabellum has concluded! A great showing from Arcona in the final Cycle, and even some top 10 placements in pillars from our very own Wally and Luka! Kudos all around!
With the Season concluded, we’ve got a War brewing on the horizon. Final dates haven’t been fully locked in yet but it’s looking like it’s going to be about two months out or so, so keep yourselves ready for that!
It’s also the time of the year for our Awards sweep, so we’re going to be taking a look through activity and handing out some medals to folks over the next little bit.
Finally - and more details will be at the end of the report - we are looking to fill some holes in our leadership team, particularly for House Galeres. Please take a look at the final section of the report for all the information.

Greetings and salutations nerds! Can you believe it’s almost April? I cannot. Side note: every single time I write up my PCON blurb I feel like I am always saying time is going by so fast. Annoying to repeat? Yes… but it's true though!! As of March 21, Easter is in 15 days, 45 till Cinco de Mayo, 102 till Canada Day, 105 until Fourth of July, 62 days until the Mandalorian & Grogu movie hits theatres… the list can go on and on!
There is not much for me to update, I will leave that to the big guy Bog.
Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well. A few reminders for you: 1) do self care! Burn out is no fun, take some time for yourself. 2) Enjoy the warm weather as it is coming in! 3) Do some DJB stuff if you can! Even if it's a puzzle during your morning #2! 4) As always, you matter, you’re loved, you’re important, you’re enough, you’re cared for, you’re worthy, you belong here, the world is a better place with you in it!

In other News
Brotherhood-wide:
As mentioned above, Cycle 4 of Season 1 has ended, and the results are out. We also have the capstone fiction of the event, a prelude to the upcoming War!
Howie, the MAA finally figured out how to retire - by getting rid of the office of MAA.
The DGM has taken on most of the duties of the MAA office, and brought on some new staff to assist with this.
Emissary has been changed from a Council position to a Tribune, as it feels more in line with their work and responsibilities
The Character Sheet system has some new Feats available, and some upcoming changes to how Languages are handled. Also, there is going to be some review and revision on the policy for Hybrid player species.
The Regent has implemented a change in policy regarding Item Aspects, particularly simplifying the guidelines and getting rid of some rules which just weren’t necessary or didn’t make sense. Also, there are upcoming changes to how Upgrades work for Droids, armor and weapons.

Hiring for Galeres
Some of you may have noticed a conspicuous, Bril-shaped hole in Arconan spaces for a little while now. Bril is away at this time, handling some real life stuff, with unfortunately no specific idea of when it may be handled and when (or even if) he’ll be able to return to us. Nora and I have tried to keep things afloat and wait for him, but I have the unfortunate responsibility at this time to make the call: I am looking to hire a leadership team for House Galeres.
We will be looking for both a QUA and AED (a position which has been open for quite a while now) for the House.
The leader of a house, the Quaestor assists in overseeing administration of their selective House and overseeing the Aedile beneath them. They are responsible for developing content for their members and managing said members.
Expectations:
Communication: A 24 hour response time on Discord and Emails. Some familiarity with report writing to write monthly Reports. Being willing and comfortable with working with the rest of the Clan Summit, membership, other clans and the Council.
Mediation: Lumping this in with communication as that’s a crucial part of mediation. Are you comfortable helping mediate any issues that may arise between members, summit, or with other clans’ members? Have you any experience doing so?
Recognition: Aid in awarding and promoting our members and fellow clan leaders beneath you.
Drive & Development: Required to develop the House storyline and events, creating activity and competitions for the House to engage with. This is done in conjunction with your Aedile. Teamwork in leadership is crucial! Work together to build the stories you wish to unleash.
Be an active presence, not just in competitions but in our channels whether text, voice chats/hangouts, emails, roleplays or casual chatter. Be the example of the activity we want to encourage.
Application Requirements:
There is no minimum rank or experience required. Having some experience with clan leadership is preferred but not required, we’ll assist with learning the ropes for any newer member who applies. However, experience or familiarity with Arcona and House Galeres is a plus. Explain what type of leader you will be and approaches you would take to meet the responsibilities of the role. Share a bit about yourself! Are there any plans you would like to implement or tackle?

Whew, that was a lot to cover, and I sure am tired of writing. …Anyone have any idea what the deal was with that story snippet at the beginning there? Seems like something’s going on over with the Kaedean Shogunate. Should probably be keeping an eye on that…
