Admin Notes

Hello all and here is the following report for May in which a fiction is delivered and the newest leaderboard is established. There are questions which are answered as well.

Fiction before the upcoming event in the coming month

A series of thumping of his fingers across a basic datapad brought Jael’s attention to the completed report of the final purchase and shuttling of equipment from Fort Blindshot to Eldar. His eyes studied each word, moving his fingers in a swipe to the infographic display of the completed plans projected once the equipment finally arrived at the future city site.

The current Quaestor appreciated his time and efforts at Fort Blindshot yet understood the need to return the ‘ambassadors’ within his ranks to their families amongst the Sardinians and Kaedeans. He silently hoped and contemplated what the condition of Eldar would be once the whole crew arrived back planetside.

“Sir,” a voice spoke up that Jael immediately recognized as the blunt-faced Keadean Toranaga. This man stood before his desk, staring at a focused Jael. This Keadean was the usual shoulder for Jael to speak to as reassurance that Galeres was at least on some standing with the planet.

“Ah, friend!” Jael put his datapad away and stood with open arms to greet one of the true Eldarian ambassadors. “How are the rest of our group doing?”

A studying stare of the Keadean caused a sense of unease to wash over the Quaestor.

“Master Jael,” Toranaga spoke with a slight hissing underneath his voice. “Since we are returning home and you plan to establish a Galerian home here, we should return to the palace to settle a treaty with our Shogun and council.”

Jael tilted his head to the side with a shrug of consideration but acknowledged verbally that there probably did need to be some work on a treaty between Galeres, Shihon, and the Sardinians. The mention of the last did cause a soured expression from Toranaga who asked if that was necessary. As this was asked, a fellow of their formal group stepped into the room, Varna IIchard, who uttered a disapproving growl.

“Hey now,” Jael spoke up and waved between the two. “Let's not get in a fight. We’ve agreed not to start this again, remember?”

The two antagonists muttered and grumbled under their breath with side glances before placing their full attention on Jael. The Quaestor explained to the pair that they would need to be ready for a large meeting between all the heads to establish a new peace on Eldar.

The Second Quarter for the Glory of Galeres running has started now with the past month and many of you have worked hard to get yourself on this board.

1) how did going native work for Jael? Pics or it didn't happen! (Jk)
J: Jael received a very dark tan and learned many words. He also got many bites from bugs. He missed his technology.

2) what's Jael's take away from the event? Any thing inspiring him to adapt the house with or consider in the future going forward?
J: Establishing the new city on Eldar with understanding of the Sardinians who are very similar would possibly involve some similar tacts in order to settle any fighting.

3) Jael got any good brand recommendation for heating packs? Getting real tired of the cold 😛 J: Holobeam Heating Pad

4) what cometh on the horizon?
J: A city, a fight maybe?

5) Are you going to put out Aedile applications at some point?
J: Applications may come out at some point in the near future after some stability is obtained on a few fronts.

6) with a clan event finishing and a war this fall to look forward to, what's your best advise for people who haven't yet experienced war or maybe aren't confident in tackling one? J: Take your time with each entry and don’t overwhelm yourself with fixation on perfectionism. Ask for some help, ask for proofing of your fiction. Sometimes I like to mix up the longer entries in between the shorter ones so that way I can leave some short effort entries for later and I don’t lose energy.

1. Any "Porgy" plans in the future? J: No Porgy plans. Maybe some crystal furby plans. ;)

2. Do you plan a new haircut? J: I cut my own so always cuts my hair for free

3. Do you plan a Spring Cleaning? J: Yes. On numerous levels haha

4. Any good Spring recipes? J: I’m not much of a cook but I’d say some simple ice cream dish.

5. Why Nunu never cross a road? J: Because there was a Frostguard across the way.
