Fort Blindshot

Even though the breeze was cool, the yellowing grasses crunched softly underfoot on the island that, after acquisition by Arcona, had become Fort Blindshot — named post-mortem for their Consul that had fallen during the fight against the Collective. A few weeks without rain had dried out the majority of the foliage, leaving green in only the trees and hardiest of scrub on the lower plains. The thicker forest towards the dead caldera that made up the post’s tactical training area had enough spring water to keep its deep emerald coloration. The dichotomy was almost pretty.

It made actual training rather difficult. As it turns out, blaster fire does a good job of starting prairie fires on the range. It left the Galerian Quaestor with little to do.

While she still formally lived at the Citadel, Qyreia had moved and centralized the House’s headquarters at the new island base. The past weeks had been spent setting up administrative infrastructure and poking the scant Arconan forces stationed there to get back into a training rhythm. The brief incursion by the Collective into Arconan space had hardly even phased them, given how handily they’d been defeated. Regular aerial patrols to look for pockets of insurgents were the only interruptions to the otherwise normal day-to-day activities.

So soon after the fight on Nancora, getting a message from Lucine Vasano wasn’t too out of the ordinary. Together with Uji and Kordath, the two women had worked briefly on combating the breakers of the already tenuous peace within the Brotherhood. The subject matter of her communication was, on the other hand, much more strange.

“Who the hell is Rrogon Skar Agrona?” Qyreia had asked herself when the human’s holomail had reached her.

The Business End

Your New Aedile: Skar Agrona

Apps are closed and the results are in. Keeping in line with my ability to maximize tears and angst, I dumped a lot of people on or just after Valentines Day, and the last one standing was our favorite murder-lizard: Skar! As you can see from the fiction above, there’s going to be a lot of… discomfort on the part of the older members of Arcona seeing Skar’s fictional return to the Clan at large. Plenty of avenues to explore in what will likely be a long process of reintegration with the old folks, and some new opportunities for the newer folk that don’t know him quite so much (including me)! For my part, I’ll be trying to keep the shenanigans in check.

Out of character, Skar has already been a great help at keeping things moving when I’m busy and/or asleep (because time zones are crazy like that). I look forward to working with him and seeing what will happen in the long term. He will have more in his own section of this report, so keep reading!

A Word from the Aedile

Hi yes this is Skar. Welcome to my little corner of this lovely report. I just want to start out by saying thank you to Q for taking me on as Aedile. This is a big step for me in the club and I am grateful that I can take this journey alongside each and everyone one of you.

I want to let you all know that if there are any concerns or issues you all may have, just know that my door is always open.

But that is all I have for you all at least for the moment. This is Skar skipping away!

A New Battleteam, If A Little Dusty

With the destruction of the Nighthawk just prior to the GJW, the re-built ship and some of the nuances of Possessions brought with it some questions as to the Battleteam’s fictional direction. After much deliberation, the decision was made to deactivate Battleteam Nighthawk — one of Galeres’ longest standing teams — and reactivate Battleteam Spectre Cell. This move signals a diversion from Nighthawk’s old CIA/wetworks style, working with the Dajorra Intelligence Agency (DIA), and more toward the military angle that Galeres has touted for so long.

There are still plenty of details being worked on the Summit’s end. Case in point, the new Nighthawk will still be a ship of the Arconan Fleet, only now it will no longer be under interim control of the Battleteam. Where Spectre Cell decides to settle is up for debate, as are what Possessions assets they will have available to them. Of course, as we are reviving an old team, the Nighthawk wiki will be getting one final timeline update before being archived, while the Cell’s will be un-archived and given a fresh coat of proverbial paint. Speaking of wiki work...

Wiki Work: Still Here

Now that Nighthawk is being deactivated, our focus is going to shift to Galeres’ and Spectre Cell’s wikis. If interested in assisting, send myself, Skar, and Constantine a message on Telegram or via e-mail.

Additionally, there’s wiki work that applies to the Clan on the whole. Whether it’s brainstorming or wikifying the information, there’s a place for you to throw your name in the hat. Competitions

The Arconan VD comps are finally done! Huzzah! For at least a couple weeks, we have a casual respite. Be prepared for a cooperative event with Clan Odan Urr coming soon, and the next chapter in the Sins series further down the road.
