Road To Adventure

On The Move

Tisto sat outside the entrance to the Trepus Facility, training now over. The rest of the Knights had gone inside, leaving Tisto on his own. He didn’t understand how he was going to lead them. After all, he didn’t know how to act during a war, and these training exercises proved it. The Knights were different as well, with only Suur left from the group that participated in the Battle of Tanduran.

Standing up after several minutes, he shook his head clearing his doubts from his mind. He jumped down into the mine, landing with an audible clunk as his boots hit the metal walkway. He walked down slowly, passing through most of the mine the House was currently using, moving silently, or as silently as he could. He passed through the mess, and saw Bell sitting with the Knights discussing future plans and possible adventures. Everyone aside from the new soldier Nero, who was sitting silently, seemed to chime in and enjoy themselves.

Tisto walked deeper into the mine, taking twenty minutes to walk down to the place he had turned into a workshop, despite arguments from Arcia and Edgar saying he could use the military workshop. The two never understood what he liked about these kinds of things, but nothing felt better to him than the thrill of piloting his bike, or working in a decently secluded workshop.

In the center of the area sat his bike, Quinn, half painted with a fresh layer of paint, a cobalt blue color. Next to the bike lay a table covered in tools, including two hydro spanners, a laser welder, engine tape, a blow torch, and a set of welding goggles. To the back of the room, next to another corridor, sat a large bunk bed style cot, with recent welding marks. To the left and right of the cot stood two different wardrobes, both shoddily made, and very bulky.

Tisto walked over and laid himself on the lower part of the bed. As he came to rest, he heard the clanking of footsteps. Sitting back up, he saw Revak enter the workshop.

“Don’t lay down just yet,” Revak stated. “We have to talk.”

“What is it Revak?” the Knight Commander replied wearily.

“Those guys you had me look into. What are you planning?” Revak questioned worried.

“I don’t know exactly. I remember they used to interact with my old gang leader,” Tisto responded. “I am hoping we can get them as allies really, but then again they never seemed to approve of my old boss having a ‘Jedi’ in the gang.”

“So you sent me to scout out a mercenary group that hates Jedi?” Revak asked.

“I figured if anyone could do it it would be you,” the Kiffar replied. “Besides, I trust you, and well, you are a better warrior than me if it came to a fight.”

“How much do you know about them? Because I learned a lot,” the Zabrak asked, trying to gauge exactly how prepared the Knight Commander was.

“Last I heard there were six hundred some odd of them, and their leader was called the General by them,” Tisto responded.

“Well then, you and I should go talk to Edgar and Arcia, and discuss this with them in more detail,” Revak stated. “There is a lot the three of you should learn.”
