Introduction

Hello to my fellow Hothians and Odanites, as well as possible onlookers from other units. Welcome to the third Hoth Quaestor report with me at the helm! The song is indeed Santana and that guy from Matchbox Twenty (Save people having to ask who Rob Thomas is), mostly because Louisiana has been hot and humid this past week or so, if not most of the United States. (It’s probably a lot more widespread than that, but I only check the weather patterns in my area.)

Another month has come and gone and, with it, another section of the Scimitar of Hoth! These are the top five of April’s Scimitar:

  1. Reaver Luna Okami: 163.45
  2. Knight Ozosi Vym: 124.25
  3. Seer Tisto Kingang: 111.75
  4. Augur Edgar Drachen: 59.25
  5. Ranger Gen Solari: 58.75

The overall numbers are currently very interesting and can change up at any given time depending on exactly how much effort you put forth through your activity. If you’re curious as to how specific points are earned, they’re clearly laid out in the competition details.

As you can tell, there’s no fiction to be found in this report. Why? Writer’s block is evil. With that said, it’s time to hop into this report. Lots of pretty little details to go over.

News

Clan/House

  • For starts, we have Arch’s fourth report (with a fifth one likely coming very soon), as well as the results of the recent ARC-COU event, The Consul Bride.
  • Read and enjoy the second report of Hoth’s Battleteam, the Wildcards. If you’re interested in joining the team or are already a member, there is a group RO covering the Origins of the team that is ongoing.

Brotherhood

  • First and foremost, there is the sad announcement involving the passing of a beloved long-time member of the Brotherhood. The newspost announcing the death of Frosty Romanae Tarentae can be found here for those interested. If you have not already done so, the comments section is there for those of you who knew him to share memories if you are willing to do so. Please be respectful.
  • GM Mav has a big announcement—after the quick hits and May the Fourth announcement that covers a few other things—where CNS gets a new Consul and the Headmaster of the Shadow Academy has stepped down. Applications for Headmaster are open until the 26th of May. Want to know what is expected of the job? Read the announcement!
  • Semi-retired GM Pravus (this could get confusing fairly quickly...) announces Malik Sadow’s appointment to the Star Chamber.
  • DGM Vyr announces the winners of this year’s May the Fourth event and a massively important update involving societies! Unless you live under a rock, you’ve heard about the Graphics Society recently coming out? Yeah, those are the details. Read ‘em!
  • There’s an upcoming ACC Event that’s available for signup until 25th May for all members that meet certain requirements. Whether you’re new to the club and want to learn more about combat writing or merely wish to brush off your skills, this is the place to sign up for it!
  • The Office of the FIST has been fairly busy, releasing Drac’s eighteenth report, a supplement calling for applicants to the positions of Magistrate and Praetor and a Brotherhood Gaming League update.
  • Farrin releases his nineteenth and final report as Headmaster of the Shadow Academy.
  • In Justice related news, Jac Resigns with a heartwarming announcement, Bubba/Dacien becomes the new Jud—I mean, Justicar with his first report and appoints a new Left Hand of Justice.
  • The Regent released his thirteenth report with a lot of details on what your credits can now purchase.
  • The Social Media Tribune released his first report. Read up if you’re interested. (I’m still not giving you the details -sticks out tongue-)
  • The Office of the Voice released a report and an update.
  • Finally, the Wiki Tribune released his midway to second report with a lot of juicy details and updates to wiki policy.

Member Of The Month

As I originally had trouble determining who would be considered the member of the month, there are multiple. To be exact, there are nine members, myself included. (After a lot of debate, this will also be the last time there is a member of the month mentioned in mine and/or Sariel’s reports, as there are always several members we wish to highlight for stellar activities in various capacities.) These are the members that took and passed the exam to become members of the Shroud Syndicate—also known as Graphics Society:

  • Luna Okami
  • Edgar Drachen
  • Droveth Kathera Vectivi
  • Celevon Edraven Erinos
  • Ozosi Vym
  • Ryuu Suoh
  • Tisto Kingang
  • Gen Solari
  • Daniel “Seraphol” Stephens

Conclusion

Well, that’s all for this month, folks. This is likely one of the longest reports I’ve ever written in terms of content whilst lacking a fiction.

Until next time.

Celevon Edraven Erinos
Quaestor of House Hoth

It certainly sounds as if interesting times are ahead then. Thank you indeed for the report.

Nice report Cel!
